Robert Macfarlane

Robert Macfarlane is the author of internationally bestselling and prize-winning books about nature, people and place, including Underland, The Old Ways, Landmarks and, with Jackie Morris, The Lost Words and The Lost Spells His books have been widely adapted for film, music, television, radio and stage, and translated into many languages.

In 2017 the American Academy of Arts and Letters awarded him the EM Forster Prize for Literature. He is a Fellow of Emmanuel College, Cambridge.
