Sarah Westcott
Sarah Westcott is a poet, originally from Devon. She loves to write outside, often in collaboration with the more-than-human, exploring the complex, lively and creative relationships that make up the living world. Sarah has two full collections - Slant Light (Pavilion Poetry, Liverpool University Press) and Bloom, shortlisted for the Ledbury Hellens prize for best second collections 2023 and long-listed in the Laurel Prize for ecopoetry. Her poetry has appeared on beermats, billboards and buses, and installed in a nature reserve, triggered by footsteps.
Sarah is currently researching and writing inter-species poetry as part of an AHRC-funded PhD and has been working with nightingales and bats to co-create new work.
