The Commons Way

Artist Lora Aziz relays contemporary concepts around ecology, women, plants, land and rent informed by ancient practices and collaboration with The People of 1381 academic research programme. Calligraphy using ancient techniques of foraged inks on handmade papers, estuary walking encounters, and plant knowledge combine with multimedia elements created by videographer and soundscaper Marley presented in cottages at Wat Tyler Country Park.

As Wyrd Flora, Marley & Lora will be encouraging community involvement via plant exploration, group walks and workshops during the festival including along rebel routes and the Thames Estuary Trail from Lesnes Abbey Woods to Southend.
