Estuary 2025 Educational Resource

Our Artist-Designed Free Festival Creative Education Resource is live!

We’re delighted to announce the launch of our brand new Estuary 2025 Vessels Education Resource Pack – a free creative learning tool developed especially for teachers, schools, creative educators and home-learning families inspired by the Thames Estuary.

Created in collaboration with artist and creative educator Maraid McEwan, this pack is the result of four months of workshops, conversations, and creative exchange with schools across North Kent. It’s been a joy to see young people engage with the stories, movements, and landscapes of the estuary – and now we’re thrilled to share this resource more widely.

Packed with lesson plans, creative prompts, and hands-on activities, the pack explores the festival’s theme of Vessels through memory, movement, and change, rooted in the unique identity of the Thames Estuary. Whether you're working in a classroom, at home, or in a community setting, these materials are designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, and connection to place.

Even better – students can submit their creative responses to be featured in our online gallery, The Evolving Vessel, offering them the chance to become part of Estuary 2025 itself!

Estuary 2025 runs from Saturday 21st – Sunday 29th June across North Kent and South Essex.
