Estuary Imaginarium: Tidal treasures from the Thames

Estuary Imaginarium is an alternative guide and activity book to enjoy along the Estuary. Suitable for all ages, it invites you to collect objects and materials, find accidental assemblages, document the overlooked and discarded, think about what is washed up or washed away, uncover stories and histories from the Thames.

Describing how the estuary has inspired their making, artists share their working processes, memories, stories and observations. Images, materials, sights, sounds, smells and textures of the estuary are shared to spark memories and prompt making. Conceived by artists studying at UCA’s School of Fine Art, Photography and Visual Communication, Estuary Imaginarium offers new ways of tuning into the estuary environment.

You can access the activity book here as a PDF and you can share your responses here on Instagram. Follow @estuaryimaginarium on Instagram for more information.

Estuary Imaginarium artists are Jakub Baran, Sally Couchman, Jen Reed, Vicki Salmi, Tiffany Tu, and Ellie Keen Young. Design and creative direction by Zak Gray and Jay Greshoff. Motion design by Saff Ivory.
