Sonic Atlas Evening Work

Sonic Atlas Evening Work

Sonic Atlas, poet and artist Caroline Bergvall’s most ambitious work to date, is an immersive audio-visual work with multiple languages and including a new composition by Gavin Bryars, which creates space for dialogue and exchange around languages, migration and settlement. It draws on the nomadic histories and ancient multilingual routes of medieval love poetry, and represents them against a current political backdrop of division. Material is drawn from interviews with speakers from minority languages (pre-European languages and newly settled immigrant languages).

The Sonic Atlas Evening Work event will take place later in 2021. More details to follow.
