Estuary Adventures concept was developed following the initial research by artist Prya Sundram. Young people from Yellow Door on Canvey Island worked with artists and creative practitioners Hannah Brailsford, Lauren Bolter and Emma Mills on designing two family-friendly walks on Canvey. The walks were activated during Estuary 2025 festival and are also accessible anytime and free via the Adventure Labs app.
Walk 1: The Lake
This nature walk experience weaves together memories, stories, and hidden connections of the island. It invites you to take a moment to immerse yourself in the tranquility and beauty of the lake environment and getting closer to the natural world around you.

Walk 2: Seafront
Each stop on this walk is an invitation to explore, reflect, and connect with the surroundings and local history. As you walk from Stop 1 to Stop 5, try out our fun activity prompts on your own or with your friends and family.
