A Refracted View

An exhibition in two Kent locations, Margate and Ramsgate. Bringing you creative responses engaging with environmental and social sustainability. These will be delivered by the members of East Kent Mencap working with local artists. The exhibition through poetry, artefacts and walking engagements offers us a refracted view of how we live and how we might live.

Locations
Ramsgate: EKM Scrap Store, Foresters Hall, CT11 9RT
Margate: East Kent Mencap GOLD, 132 Northdown Road, Margate‎, CT9 2RB

You can also follow the project as it evolves by tuning into the artist's regular podcasts here

About the artist
Elspeth (Billie) Penfold is a textile artist who brings her experience of teaching and research into performative works. In 2012 she formed a group called Thread and Word. Through call outs Elspeth works collaboratively to develop work with a focus on materials and process, using walking as a method to explore creativity.
