Out to Dry

Out To Dry by Andy Freeman and Samantha Penn is a public installation exploring how the microplastics used in clothing make their way into waterway systems via washing machines.

Visit the Out to Dry project website: http://outtodry.org.uk/

The installation consists of a series of washing machines presenting homespun experiments that raise questions about the ways clothes are made, worn and washed, provoking a new understanding of the microscopic particles hidden in the mud of the estuary and the journey they take through the pipes in our houses from the clothes we wear.

Out to Dry artist events - Sunday 13 June 12-12:45 & 2-2:45
