Jon Jon Foster

Jon Jon Foster

Jon Jon Foster was vocalist with Bronski Beat from 1985–1987 and 1994–95.  He grew up in Basildon but it was in Southend at The Cliff that he met Alison Moyet and Dave Gahan in 1978. He says “That pub was a magnetic meeting place for the weird and wacky punks and electro freaks from all around Essex and London too. An amazing mix of talented people were hanging out there, students from the local college, punks and girl friends from Basildon and all into one thing, Electric Music.
Synth music was entering a new faze and we all wanted to be a part of it.

He will appear at Sound of the Thames Delta's panel - Faithful to the Alternative.
