Andrew Westle

Andrew Westle

Andrew’s work defies neat boundaries to include research, socially engaged arts practice, performance, evaluation, writing, theatre making and public health. His work often questions the status quo, creating spaces for challenging conversations where ideas inspire dialogue, action and engagement. Andrew’s work is often based in queer and feminist methodologies, always looking to embed access and inclusion in all aspects of a project. The majority of his professional and artistic practice has been built on different forms of community led design and collaboration, employing either co-design methodologies or peer-led approaches for building shared outcomes. His work also crosses into knowledge translation, particularly in relationship to dance. Delving into Dance, his podcast and web-platform reaches an international audience of over 25,000 people. Alongside working as a freelance artist Andrew is Engagement Manager (co-design) at Manchester International Festival.
