Shona Illingworth

Shona Illingworth

Shona Illingworth is a Danish/Scottish artist who works across sound, film, video installation, photography and drawing. Her work has been exhibited internationally including at the Museum of Modern Art, Bologna; FACT (Foundation of Art and Creative Technology), Liverpool; UNSW Galleries, Sydney; Imperial War Museum and the Wellcome Collection, London. Forthcoming solo exhibitions of her work will take place at The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, Toronto and Bahrain National Museum in 2021. She has received commissions from The Wapping Project, Film and Video Umbrella, the Hayward Gallery, London and Channel 4 Television. She was a Stanley Picker Fellow and her work was shortlisted for the Jarman Award 2016. In addition to her practice, she is Reader in Arts at the University of Kent, an Imperial War Museum Associate and sits on the editorial boards of the Journal of Digital War and the Journal of Memory Mind and Media.
